Why Hasn't My Copy Traded Yet?
Last checked against the product: 2026-10-19
The short answer
You follow a trader, and nothing happens. Usually Hypertide is waiting. It copies a trader's new trades from the moment you follow. It does not copy positions they already have open. If the trader has not opened or added to anything since, there is nothing to copy yet. A few other things can also stop a copy. Each one is below.
It only copies new opens and adds
When the followed trader opens a position or adds to one, Hypertide may place a matching order on your account. A position they opened before you followed is not copied. A trader can go days without a new trade, and a quiet trader is not an error. This page says nothing about how often any trader trades.
Your balance may be unknown or too small
Hypertide checks your free balance before each copy. If it cannot read your balance, it skips that copy. If the free balance is too small for the order, it skips that copy too. Hyperliquid also has a minimum order size, about $10 per order. If your account is small, one copy can land under that minimum and be skipped. New follows on accounts under $300 start with a fixed copy size to make that less likely.
Your follow may be paused
A paused follow takes no new copies. You can pause and resume with the /pause and /resume commands in the bot. If you set a drawdown stop (optional), it can pause your follows too.
You may have hit the open-copy limit
Each follow allows up to 5 open copies by default. When that many are open, new opens are skipped. A new copy can start after one closes.
What can still go wrong
Copies can fill at a different price than the trader got, or be skipped. A followed trader can lose money, and so can you. Copy orders use your agent key to place trades on your account.
